Tom is a committed and experienced servant leader with over three decades of proven successes across military and business organizations. He retired as a colonel with over 25 years in the U.S. Air Force as a commander, strategic planner, and rescue helicopter pilot. 

Tom’s passion and sought after talent is to help individuals, teams, and organizations achieve their fullest potential. He is a humble leader and collaborative problem solver who is comfortable in diverse and complex organizations and inspires others to find unique and durable solutions for today’s problems, tomorrow’s challenges and opportunities.

In uniform, Tom served with distinction in a variety of operational, staff and command assignments in the U.S and deployed combat environments. Tom has led large and distinct organizations in the Air Force and directed a $1.7B portfolio that procured and equipped 150+ combat aircraft and 10 pararescue teams for global search and rescue operations. He led over 450 personnel across four units, providing on-demand global search and rescue operations. One of Tom’s pivotal assignments was as a U.S. Air Force Academy Cadet Group Commander, where he was directly responsible for the military education, leadership training, mentoring and professional development of 1000+ U.S. and International cadets. Tom has multiple deployments leading search and rescue missions, saving hundreds of lives in both combat and peacetime environments.

His post-military career has been focused on risk, compliance, safety and training. When Tom served as a Vice President at Wells Fargo Bank, he was an key leader on a select Operational Risk Management team that implemented enduring solutions for high-priority regulatory banking matters and numerous organizational culture change initiatives. Additionally, Tom’s experience in the software development industry was instrumental in process improvement and enhanced training solutions refining how the U.S. Air Force and Navy trained thousands of pilots.

Tom graduated from Kent State University with a degree in Aviation Technology. He has completed three master’s degrees in Strategy and Joint Planning, Business Administration, and National Security Studies. Tom is a Certified Executive Coach and serves as a board member to organizations supporting aviation education. He is also an Ambassador for Project Healing Waters, a non-profit organization that helps veterans heal through fly fishing. He resides in Virginia with his wife, close to their two adult daughters.
